This downloadable checklist outlines suggested diagnostic investigations for suspected cases of New Onset Refractory Status Epilepticus (NORSE) and Febrile Infection-Related Epilepsy Syndrome (FIRES). It is intended as a helpful clinical tool—not an exhaustive or prescriptive list.
The guideline was developed by the NORSE Institute’s Medical Advisory Board with contributions from experts including Drs. Nicolas Gaspard, Claudine Sculier, Lawrence J. Hirsch, Sara Hocker, Zubeda Sheikh, Shivani Ghoshal, and Yashwanth Pulluru.
