NORSE Requires urgent, specialised medical care
New Onset Refractory Status Epilepticus (NORSE) and Febrile Infection-Related Epilepsy Syndrome (FIRES) are medical emergencies that require urgent, highly specialised care. Not all hospitals or clinicians have the experience or resources needed to manage these rare and complex conditions.
